NDIS support in Craigieburn you can count on

Who looks after you matters more than anything else we do. Our support workers stay long enough to learn your routine and to notice when something is not right. Personal care, housework, nursing at home, getting out and about — disability support under your NDIS plan, from a registered Craigieburn provider whose workers live in the same northern suburbs you do.

Why families stay with our support workers

Looking after the person comes before covering the shift. Our workers stay long enough to know your routine, to notice the days that are harder than usual, and to say something when they do. Our registered nurses train them on your care and check they can do it safely. You get the same few faces — and if one of them is not the right fit, you say so and we change them. No reason needed.

Questions

Common questions about NDIS home care

Yes. VSG Home Care is a registered NDIS provider. We are registered for twelve types of support, including personal care, nursing at home, housework and help getting out. Because we are registered, you can use us however your plan is managed.

We are based in Craigieburn and we are in Melbourne's northern suburbs every day. That includes Mickleham, Roxburgh Park, Greenvale, Donnybrook, Epping, Wollert, Mernda, Broadmeadows, Coolaroo, Meadow Heights, Glenroy, Pascoe Vale, Sunbury and Tullamarine. We also travel across the rest of Greater Melbourne — the west, the inner suburbs, the east and the south-east — by arrangement. If your suburb is not on the list, ring 0432 811 151 and ask. The answer is often yes.

Twelve kinds. Help with personal care like showering and dressing. Care for more complex health needs. Nursing at home. Housework. Support in a shared home. Getting out into the community. Small group activities. Learning everyday life skills. Help through big changes. Help finding and keeping a job. And lifts to where you need to go.

Yes. Being registered means anyone can use us. If the NDIA pays your providers directly, you must use a registered provider — so we are one of your options. If you are plan-managed or manage it yourself, you can choose us or anyone else.

Usually within a week, for most suburbs around Craigieburn. First we have a chat on the phone. Then we visit you at home to talk it through — that visit is free. Then you get everything in writing, and only then do we start. If it is urgent, or you are coming out of hospital, ring 0432 811 151 rather than filling in the form.

Yes. Tell us if you would prefer a man or a woman, or someone who speaks your language. We record it when we first meet and match you before we start. If your usual worker cannot come, we let you know beforehand. And if someone is not the right fit, just say so — you do not have to explain why.

We charge the prices the NDIA sets each year in its price guide. What you pay depends on the type of help and the time of day. Evenings, weekends and public holidays cost more than weekdays. You get your exact prices in writing before we start, so there are no surprises on your invoice.

Yes, a service agreement — and it protects you more than it protects us. It sets out what help you are getting, how often, what it costs, how to cancel, and how to complain. Nothing is charged to your plan until you have signed it, and you can take it away and read it first.

Ring 0432 811 151, or fill in the referral form on this site. You can do it yourself, or a family member, support coordinator or doctor can do it for you. You do not need a copy of your NDIS plan to get started.

Please tell us on 0432 811 151. We write it down, fix it, and come back to you in writing. You can also go straight to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544. You do not need our permission, and you do not have to complain to us first.
